Hey!
I'm a 28-year-old Product Designer from Brazil, currently based in the Netherlands. With a background in Architecture and Conservation, I have developed a strong passion for technology, design, and art. I am eager to grow professionally and create an impactful work 💫
A little bit about me
I transitioned to UX/UI design after spending four years as an architecture intern across three different offices. My decision to shift careers was driven by a desire for a better work-life balance and the opportunity to grow professionally in a more dynamic and innovative environment, inspired in part by two international experiences.
When I'm not designing, I enjoy exploring other artistic fields, particularly watercolor and gouache painting, photography, and ceramics. I'm passionate about travel and I'm very good at planning trips. Recently, I've discovered a love for cozy gaming, thanks to my partner, and it's become our favorite way to unwind after a long day. I'm always eager to learn new things, explore my creativity, and embrace challenges in both my personal and professional life.
How my background in architecture makes me a distinguished professional?
In my four years of architecture office experience plus eight years of academic, I had a significant training in creative problem-solving, an essential skill in designing user-centered digital products, as well as a deep practice with attention to detail, which ensures that my designs are polished and user-friendly, a critical aspect of successful UX/UI design.
The architecture process and the UX/UI design process share several similarities, particularly in terms of their methodologies and goals, such as
User-Centric Approach
Research and Analysis
Concept Development
Iteration and Feedback
Collaboration
Technical and Aesthetic Balance
Experience
Freelance Product Designer | April 2024 - current
I help small businesses develop innovative, user-friendly products by providing expert design solutions from concept to completion, ensuring their products stand out in the market.
Led the complete redesign of a fashion e-commerce website, owning the entire design process from initial concept to final implementation, using Figma, Framer and Wix.
Collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, meeting weekly to align design goals with business objectives, ensuring a cohesive brand experience.
Career Break | September 2022 - March 2024
I took a career break in the midst of my master's program at Sapienza Università di Roma to focus fully on my studies and ensure I completed my degree successfully.
UX/UI Designer, Casoca - Remote | May 2021 - September 2022
Casoca Company, a growing B2B and B2C startup, offers a platform with a library of free, high-quality Sketchup and BIM 3D models from the Brazilian market for architects and designers. When I joined, the company had fewer than 10 employees, each handling multiple tasks.
For the first 5 months, I worked full-time as a UX/UI Designer and platform assistant. My tasks included registering new products, creating categories, developing marketing banners, and improving the website's information architecture and user flow. For the next year, I switched to part-time to balance my master's degree, focusing exclusively on UX/UI Design.
As the head and sole member of the design team, I had daily meetings with Marketing and Service leaders, managed the design board, conducted research, oversaw deliveries, and updated the Magento platform using HTML. Key tools included Figma, Photoshop, Sketchup, Asana, Discord, and Magento.
Achievements: I grew into a leadership role, onboarding new designers, pitching new products to leadership, and structuring the design team.
